One of my personal favorite shoulder press machines! A classic old-school design, a compact footprint, and a challenging movement that deserves far more recognition.

The Cybex Plate-Loaded Advanced Shoulder Press features adjustable starting positions, allowing users to customize their setup and find a suitable starting point based on their mobility and training preferences.

In my opinion, this is one of the most underrated shoulder press machines out there. The movement isn’t easy, and that’s exactly what makes it special. It rewards proper technique, control, and the ability to keep tension on the shoulders throughout each rep.

The pressing motion offers a level of freedom that comes surprisingly close to a dumbbell shoulder press, giving you a more flexible-feeling movement than many fixed-path machines.

If you know how to properly isolate your shoulders and maintain control throughout the movement, this machine could quickly become one of your favorite shoulder-training options.

Completely restored, with its original old-school character preserved, this Cybex classic is an excellent addition to any serious strength-training facility.
